The Stillwater Process

Stillwater Dwellings™ has developed a highly efficient three phase design and construction system. Our team of professional architects and production managers personally guide you through the straightforward process.

Phase One

Site Analysis, Plan Selection and Pricing
You work closely with a Stillwater architect to select a plan and finish package and define all modifications. Stillwater conducts an analysis of zoning and building permit requirements and develops a site analysis diagram showing how your home will likely be situated on your lot. A price for the whole project is calculated.

Phase Two

Plans Development, Site Visit and Final Fixed Pricing
Stillwater architects develop plans incorporating modifications defined in Phase I. A comprehensive specifications document is prepared detailing materials and finishes. A Stillwater architect visits your building site and makes recommendations on how best to optimize the attributes of your lot. At the conclusion of Phase II you'll receive a Final Fixed Price inclusive of design, engineering, fabrication and installation on your foundation.

Phase Three

Home Purchase and Construction
Upon formalization of a Home Purchase Agreement the final design and fabrication process begins. Professional architects develop final plans and oversee the production of engineering drawings. Project managers work with your local building department and agencies, to apply for customary permits. Stillwater professionals oversee custom fabrication of the home and its finishes in a controlled, protected environment. Finally, Stillwater project managers go on-site to install the home on your prepared foundation, hookup utilities, and take care of the finishing details. Then: you move in.
